Exercise is important for everyone, but it is especially important for those with multiple sclerosis. Being active with MS has a lot of benefits. These benefits include improving physical health, cardiovascular health, and bladder and bowel function. Exercise can improve mental health too! It may seem strange but being active may also help to make you feel less tired!
You don’t need to go out and buy an expensive gym membership to be active. All forms of movement count. Take a walk around the block, work in the yard, or tackle some of those housecleaning chores you’ve been putting off.
Talk to your doctor about what types of exercise are best for you and how often. Get to feeling your best, without overdoing it, by following an appropriate exercise plan designed with your lifestyle and physical abilities in mind.
